MISSION: The Domestic Violence and AIDS Mission of New Jersey 501(c)3 Nonprofit Corporation has a primary goal to provide services to those affected by domestic violence and AIDS. We are a faith based organization, believing in the power of God to deliver souls, setting them free from the bondage of oppression, depression and possession of evil and violence. We refer domestic violence abusers and victims to counseling, prayer and/or suicide hotlines, as well as provide a support system that will ultimately enable both the abuser and victim to establish a fresh start at life. The Domestic Violence and AIDS Mission of New Jersey will approach these tragic life issues in a new and radical manner, displaying tremendous passion through various projects, such as The Real Man Campaign: Man to Man Advocacy Program, which is a voluntary outreach to male abusers, utilizing male advocates. We are the first domestic violence agency to establish a 24 Hour National Abuser Hotline, (888) SOS-ABUSER, which is a crucial tool to intervene in time of need for the abusers that want help and are seeking a positive change before a life is lost. Other services will be workshops, public speaking, group sessions, educational programs, support and guidance, as well as many other forms of advocacy and outreach. We believe change begins when ones vision is seen and mirrored in the eyes of others, then acted upon to change the world in a powerful and positive manner.
VISION: The vision of The Domestic Violence and AIDS Mission of New Jersey is to eliminate domestic violence and AIDS by utilizing new programs. One main focus is to identify abusers who are ready to change their lives from violent to non violent and offer a positive support system to ultimately avoid more lives being lost. The focus is different from the court ordered 'anger management' in the compassion approach versus conviction approach. Mentors will strive to approach abusers in a manner that will allow them the freedom to express what many may have suppressed for long periods of time. There may have been issues of child molestation, child abuse, witnessing of domestic violence in their childhood home, some abusers may have been victims themselves of domestic violence, etc. Currently most abusers are ordered to attend 'anger management' in lieu of jail time. The Domestic Violence and AIDS Mission of New Jersey is establishing crucial volunteer services for domestic violence abusers, so that abusers have the opportunity to seek help, before the case gets to court, before they are 'ordered' to attend 'anger management', before they are actually jailed and especially before they contemplate a murder or murder/suicide.
The 'youth division' of The Real Man Campaign: Man to Man Advocacy Program, will identify abusers at a young age and guide them through mentorship with compassion, into a non violent lifestyle. It is extremely important to address domestic violence in abusers at the earliest age and stage. This will allow the potential victims and the abusers to lead a much more productive and healthy lifestyle, as well as save a life and/or lives which could be taken in a violent rage, if not intervened.
AIDS is a global pandemic and will be addressed by The Domestic Violence and AIDS Mission of New Jersey in an aggressive, radical approach through awareness campaigns, referrals to counseling, prayer and public service announcements.
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
You can't cure a natural problem through the Spirit and you can't cure a spiritual problem through the natural...There is a spirit world and there is a natural world. We live amongst both, good and evil, light and darkness, the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan.
We believe in the all knowing, all powerful ability of Jesus Christ to change every heart from stony to flesh, from evil to good, from violent to non violent! Deliverance in the name of Jesus is the ONLY way! MARK 16: 17,18
The Domestic Violence and AIDS Mission of New Jersey is a 501(c)3 Non Profit Organization in direct response to the worldwide domestic violence and AIDS pandemic. Both are taking lives at an alarming rate. The need for awareness and additional resources is crucial. The advocacy programs created by The Domestic Violence and AIDS Mission of New Jersey, such as The Real Man Campaign: Man to Man Advocacy Program, will be utilized by abusers who may otherwise be forced into the court system and ordered into 'anger management' by a Judge, or when both victim and abuser may be at the point of lives being lost. The Domestic Violence and AIDS Mission of New Jersey has a primary goal to stop domestic violence, dropping the murder/suicide rate, as well as bringing much more awareness to the growing AIDS population.
The Real Man Campaign: Man to Man Advocacy Program is an outreach to male abusers, utilizing male advocates to connect and counsel men on a volunteer basis versus court ordered. The Domestic Violence and AIDS Mission of New Jersey seeks non violent, positive men who are ready, willing and able to assist in this urgent project. We are asking churches, associations, fraternities, athletic clubs, sports teams, law enforcers, celebrities, etc. to step up, help get the word out and stand up to be your brothers keeper. We believe men should take a responsible role in promoting equality and cooperation in relationships, domestic violence advocacy (intervention and prevention), pregnancy prevention, sexual health, contraceptive use, as well as in overcoming stereotypical gender roles. Community involvement, partnerships and government assistance are the keys which will contribute to the success of The Real Man Campaign: Man to Man Advocacy Program. We will address problems that may be a contributing factor in abusive behavior such as alcohol/drug use, generational violence, etc. Women can assist by connecting positive, non violent men to our corporation. The benefits of The Real Man Campaign and Man to Man Advocacy Program will be, lives saved, intercession, family restoration, volunteer help versus ordered.
The Real Man Campaign: Man to Man Advocacy Program will have a youth/young man division, geared toward addressing boys to young men that may have witnessed domestic violence in their homes or those who have become abusers themselves. We believe young men need a proper outlet and outreach to them provided by young men to address anger issues which may have stemmed from growing up in a violent environment. We will provide hands on workshops in our facilities, as well as go into grade schools, middle schools, high schools, colleges and youth arenas to bring awareness and offer volunteer help to young men in need. This will be accomplished through male youth counselors, advocates, mental health workers and social workers
The domestic Violence and AIDS Mission of New Jersey is looking to have The Real Man Campaign: Man to Man Advocacy Programs operating in every state, with a vision to expand globally to address domestic violence all over the world. ***VOLUNTEERS NEEDED*** CONTACT DVAMNJ FOR MORE INFORMATION
The Domestic Violence and AIDS Mission of New Jersey is the first organization to lead in the development of a National 24 Hour ABUSER Hotline, which will work in conjunction with The Real Man Campaign: Man to Man Advocacy Program and will be established to operate just like the National Victims Hotline, with the exception of utilizing male advocates to answer calls from male abusers. This will allow volunteer access to help in time of need, versus court ordered, which is too late for many cases. There is help twenty four (24) hours a day, seven days a week for domestic violence victims, however, we need assistance for abusers even more in order to break the cycle of abuse, which will ultimately save many lives, as well as restore many families. The hotline will be the first tool of prevention to get crucial help to abusers that are seeking to change their destructive lifestyle, before it's too late and especially before there is a murder/suicide.***VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED*** CONTACT DVAMNJ FOR MORE INFORMATION
